SUMMARY:Alyssa Uhl-Boise Parks and Recreation. Getting Involved!!
DESCRIPTION:\nAlyssa Uhl currently serves at the Community Volunteer Specialist for Boise Parks & Recreation. In this position she gets to lead community education and the volunteer-powered management program for Boise urban habitat spaces including 25 miles of Boise River Greenbelt riparian area and 10 native pollinator gardens. Alyssa grew up in the temperate rainforest of Portland, Oregon and moved to the high desert of Fort Collins, Colorado for her undergraduate degree. After working for the City of Fort Collins as a water educator, she moved to Idaho’s subalpine forest to pursue a Masters of Natural Resources at the University of Idaho McCall field campus. Now nestled in the sagebrush steppe, Alyssa cares about creating opportunities for the community to connect with nature and one another. Outside of work she enjoys sharing meals with friends, seasonal searches for native blooms, riding her bike, finding cold water to jump in, and goofing off with her nieces & nephews.\nPlease join us for lunch as a guest or visiting Rotarian!\n\n
