Happy Dollars from the July 2 Club Meeting
Steven Popish was $10 happy to attend the meeting with his father-in-law Dr. Chuck Lindley, whom he was visiting in South Dakota.
Kevin Learned and Todd Fischer were each $10 happy they were able to attend the Rotary Club Los Chillios Milenio Changing of the Guard virtually, noting that folks in that club attended even virtual meetings in dress clothes, as evidenced by the photo below.

Tom Wilford was $10 happy for the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, which is continuing despite the pandemic.
Randy Hoffman was $5 happy for his daughter and son-in-law closing on a house in Kuna (and moving out!).

Last Week's Program
On Thursday, July 2, former Idaho House Minority Leader and current Boise Metro Chamber Vice President, Government & Community Relations Mat Erpelding shared his perspective on the COVID pandemic and impacts to the Chamber and greater Boise area.

A recording of the meeting will be available until 7/14 at this link.

Information About Reopening
While Idaho is now in Phase 4 of its reopening plan, Ada County has been bumped back to Phase 3.  We had hoped to resume in-person/zoom hybrid meetings at the Crystal Ballroom on June 25th for Changing of the Guard, with strenuous safety protocols in place, but a recent spike in COVID cases county-wide forced us to revert back to an online meeting for the annual changing of the guard.

For now, we will continue with remote meetings until further notice. If you are not able to catch a live meeting, email president@boiserotary.org for a link to a recording of the meeting later.

IMPORTANT: Caring for our community and others
While we are meeting remotely, we will continue to include the standard meal charge of $77.34 in our bi-monthly invoices. When we cannot meet over meals, your payment supports our community (our meals are donated to Interfaith Sanctuary) and enables a seamless return to our in-person meetings once it is safe (helping keep our cater in business and able to maintain their lease on the Crystal Ballroom).

Those who need to may opt-out of meals before the beginning of our next bi-monthly billing cycle (September-October). Please email billing@boiserotary.org by Monday, August 31st & type “Opt-out of meals” in the subject line. Standard dues & recurring foundation gifts will continue to be invoiced.

For those who continue to pay for meals, on behalf of our club and Big Sky Catering, thank you. Your support helps us serve the community as well as those who make it possible for us to conduct normal business.
