In between “oom-pah pah” music and a hoist of your stein (Prosit)*, head up to Bill’s 3rd floor attic to play and look at the Lionel Toy Trains layout.  If you haven’t seen The Attic, you are in for a treat. Room for 25, couples welcome, no kids please.

What to bring: We’ll furnish the brats, sauerkraut, mustard, and warm apple cider.  Please bring your favorite 6 pack of beer or riesling to share and one of the suggested following: soft pretzels, cheese fondue/ cheese dip, pickles, german/ regular potato salad, german cucumber salad, rye, brown, or pretzel bread (sliced)/rolls, warm applesauce, red cabbage, apple strudel/strudel bites, gingerbread, black forest cake/cupcakes, german chocolate cake/cupcakes/brownies, Your own idea… Please call or text Linda (208-284-6260) so we have a variety of German foods to sample.

*Now, you’re welcome to cheers any time you please at Oktoberfest, but there’s one instance when it’s mandatory—Ein Prosit. In Germany at the Oktoberfest, the song Ein Prosit will be played about ten times each hour (based on traditional requirements), each time ending in a round of cheers.  However, you are never to cheers during Ein Prosit—instead, wait for your cue: “eins, zwei, drei, G’suffa!” (which means One, Two, Three, Drink!)
