The 2024 PAUL HARRIS celebration at the Arid Club
So much fun and inspirational. The Boise Downtown Rotary Club gathered on November 13th at the Arid Club for a Paul Harris celebration. Great food, always fun to visit with fellow Rotarians, and an inspirational message on how Rotary is impacting the world.
We all have a part to play. Whether it is raking leaves, donating money, helping children, eradicating polio – everyone grab an oar.
It was a festive evening at the Arid Club on November 13! Cocktails were mandatory (not all were alcoholic) and members and guests mingled a good while before folks lined up for dinner buffet. Salads and appetizers were first with prime rib sliced deftly for all comers, with assortments of veggies, and other treats. For those who wished desserts, small tasty ones were offered as well.
Greg Podd was our guest speaker. Greg is the recipient of the “Service Above Self Award” and The Rotary Foundation Citation for Meritorious Service Award. Greg is currently serving a 4–year term as a Trustee of the Rotary Foundation, where he is a member of numerous related committees. Mr. Podd gave a moving talk about the great work the The Rotary Foundation does around the world and in our own communities. Rotary members were also acknowledged for their contributions to The Rotary Foundation. We have a majority of Paul Harris members, over 15 Major Donors, and 1 Arch Klumph Society Member in Todd and Karry Fisher!!
