Travis Palmer was born and raised in Boise, Idaho.
He attended the University of Idaho where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a Minor in Interpersonal Communication.
His Chamber of Commerce experience began as a young salesperson in a leads group through the Boise Metro Chamber which quickly led him to join the Ambassadors Committee. He was a founding member of the Boise Young Professionals and his extensive involvement in Chamber programs as a volunteer eventually led to him working for the Boise Metro Chamber as an account manager.
In 2011, Travis moved to Oregon to take the position of Executive Director/CEO of the Cottage Grove Chamber of Commerce where he led the organization for 8 years and he also served as the Director of the Cottage Grove Community Foundation. Since 2023, his full-time position is as the Executive Director of the Caldwell Chamber of Commerce.
A passionate team builder, Travis works with hundreds of local businesses as well as other organizations like the Live Foundation, Polaris Foundation, Caldwell Night Rodeo, College of Idaho, Canyon County Fair, Destination Caldwell, Envision Caldwell, Nampa and other Chambers of Commerce, Government Affairs committees, State and local elected officials, city staff, and the list goes on.
He is a Past President of the Boise Vista Lions Club and was the Charter President and founding member of the Treasure Valley Rotaract Club as well as the BHeard Toastmasters.
In addition to serving his community he enjoys camping, fishing, traveling and quoting obscure movie lines.
Travis and his wife Sara have 3 children; Rileigh, Miles and Julia.
