Dave Leroy is the former Idaho Lt. Governor and Attorney General and a Lincoln scholar, noted speaker and author. Dave and his wife, Nancy, live in Boise and are the primary donors of the five room, 220 artifact “Lincoln Legacy Exhibit” on permanent display at the Idaho Archives Building and of the Lincoln-related History items exhibited in and around the Lincoln Auditorium at the Statehouse. In 2009, Leroy was Chairman of both the Governors’ Council of the United States Abraham Lincoln Bicentennial Commission and the related Idaho Commission and led the effort to move the oldest Lincoln statue in the Western United States to its position of honor in front of the Capitol Building in Boise.
