Dean Wells, Curator of the Idaho Military History Museum

I am a fourth generation Idahoan, born and raised in Boise, Idaho. I have worked as a salesman
in the Boise area all of my working life. My deep interest in Idaho history led me to volunteering with the Idaho Military Museum and eventually giving me the opportunity to start a second career as the Curator of this museum. As a Curator and having extensive experience in gunsmithing, I have had the opportunity of expanding and maintaining our weapons collection, that I take great pride in.

My work here at the museum has given me the opportunity to expand my knowledge base and
have the ability to give back and share my knowledge with our daily visitors.

I enjoy being out in Idaho’s great outdoors as much as possible and I love talking about our
history, in which I am proud to say that my family has been a part of.
