Mark Bieter, Everything Basque

Mark Bieter is a graduate of Gonzaga University and Duke School of Law. He practiced law in Washington, D.C. for 20 years before deciding to move back to Boise. He currently works at the Boise office of Gordon & Rees, a San Francisco-based firm.

Mark has over 20 years of experience successfully resolving complex business disputes and corporate matters for companies across various industries, including breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, negligence, ERISA, and class action lawsuits. Mark has represented clients, including Fortune 500 companies, in federal court, state court, and governmental tribunals throughout the country.

Mark returned to his hometown in 2021 and continues to represent clients across various industries, including healthcare, finance, technology, and manufacturing. He frequently partners with in-house legal teams to develop and implement business-aligned legal and risk management strategies. He also serves as local counsel for clients working with in-house counsel to oversee cases and coordinate litigation.

A proud member of Boise’s Basque-American community, Mark serves on the board of directors of the Basque Foundation, Inc. Mark is the co-author, along with his brother John, of An Enduring Legacy: The Story of Basques in Idaho.
