Rotary Holiday Luncheon–donated gifts encouraged!
This coming Thursday, December 19, there will be no speaker, we will instead be celebrating the holidays with our fellow Club members and their kids and grandkids from noon to 1:00 pm.
We will also be collecting toys for two of our local non-profits who serve some of the disadvantaged youth in our community.
If you want to help with this toy drive, please consider picking up one of the following and bringing it with you – UNWRAPPED – on Thursday:
Educational toys like: board books, preschool books
Puzzles for all ages
Stackable toys
Blocks
Bibs
Baby dolls of various ethnicities
Busy board or flannel boards
Games for preschoolers such as matching
Play kitchen food or dishes/pots and pans
Play tool sets
Dress up outfits
Magnetic toys for older kids
Anything STEM, language arts or literacy related
All donated toys will be given to Giraffe Laugh and Interfaith Sanctuary to provide support for some of the children they serve. Consider taking your children or grandchildren with you as you do the shopping – this is a perfect time to engage them in thinking about others!
In addition to collecting toys, we will enjoy the magic of holiday music and song under the direction of Bill Agler and Jerry Schroeder. We are so lucky to have them both as members of our Club!
Wear your beautiful – or UGLY – holiday sweater and come prepared to enjoy comradery, song and the celebration of another year of MAGIC thanks to the generosity of everyone involved in our Club who contribute their time, talent and treasure for the betterment of each other, our community and our world!
Hope to see you and your kids or grandkids on Thursday.
