Ted Marconi-“Light the Fire Within – Behind the Scenes of the Olympic Torch”

Theodore “Ted” Marconi serves as the Local Mission Leader, Mission Integration, at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center, Boise, Idaho, and supports the Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG). He has been with Saint Alphonsus since 2016 when he began volunteering and later became the Coordinator of Volunteers. In March of 2019, he was named Mission Leader for Boise.

Ted grew up in Northwestern Pennsylvania moving to Idaho in the spring of 2016 to be with two of his eight siblings who live in Boise.

Ted studied Social Science and Education and received a Master’s Degree in Theology. Ted used his education and gifts in ministry for the Catholic Church for 30years. Ted is currently pursing his Doctorate in Education in organizational leadership.

Ted was active with the Boy Scouts of America, being on local leadership boards, working at summer camps for seven years and receiving the Silver Beaver Award, the Bronze Pelican Award for Catholic Scouting and the Volunteer of the Year Award from the Cattaraugus County Mental Health Association in Western New York, for his work with Camp New Horizons.

Ted has been one of the local leaders for the Saint Alphonsus Colleague Resource Group for LGBTQIA+ which is called Saint Alphonsus Proud. Ted received the 2023 Trinity Health CRG Member of the Year Award for his work with the local and national Colleague Resource Groups and his work with ALLY education for over 400 local colleagues as well as many other Trinity Health Ministries.

Ted enjoys spending time with his siblings and extended family who live in the area. Biking on the Greenbelt and learning about the history and culture of the area are some of Ted’s hobbies.
