Boise History: Erma Heyman House & the River Street Neighborhood.

Calley Sunderman is an educator, history enthusiast, and art lover – passions that greatly benefit her role as a Cultural Sites Assistant, for the City of Boise, in the Department of Arts & History.  Calley has enjoyed learning the history of the River Street Neighborhood and its residents, with a special focus on Erma Hayman and her family. She feels lucky to have the opportunity to share this lesser-known history with our community members, as it’s not the kind of history we’re usually taught. Her goal is to offer a completer and more humanized story of our history to those interested in learning more about Erma Hayman, and the River Street Neighborhood.
