About Mike:

Mike Kapuscinski, Executive Director for the Downtown YMCA, first came to Boise 18 years ago, working for the MK Engineers and Constructors. He has been working at the Treasure Valley Family YMCA for the past 15 years in various positions. Mike was originally born in Poland. He fled communism in 1989 at the age of 14 and moved to sunny South Florida. From there, he moved to NY/NJ to attend college on a swimming scholarship. After graduation, Mike worked for MK and the different iterations of it. He and his wife, Fabiola, are getting close to being empty nesters. They have three kids, four dogs, four chickens, and lots of fun.
