Hailey Minder-Owner & Winemaker at 3100 Cellars

Hailey Minder’s initial interest in wines came in high school while living in Switzerland, but it became a full fledged passion the year she graduated from college. She spent a month living and working at a sparkling winery in Italy after graduation; that’s a whole month of cheersing and ching-chinging post-graduation! Once back in the states she spent time trying to wiggle into the wine industry in the northwest and it finally happened in Walla Walla. Rotie Cellars, Leonetti, Doubleback, and Figgins are all labels that she worked for in a whirlwind of a year while living in Walla Walla.

Once returned to Idaho, Hailey kept looking for a job in the wine industry. After several years of waiting and calling and passing out resumes, Telaya Wine Co. gave her a position. Over 8 years with them she went from being an only employee doing whatever was needed to being a lead on the winemaking team and in the cellar. After her first harvest at Telaya, Hailey lamented to Marshall that no one in Idaho was making sparkling wine, and he helped take the first practical steps to launching their own winery specializing in sparkling wine.
