Dave McFadyen – President St. Als Medical Center
David McFadyen, President, Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center (SARMC), is the executive with responsibility for leading the strategic, financial, and operational direction of the region’s leading level II trauma center with 418-bed medical center located in Boise, Idaho.
Prior to joining Saint Alphonsus Health System David served as a senior executive leader in various roles within the St. Luke’s Health System. Roles included the Vice President of Population Health from 2018-2020 where he provided operational leadership for St. Luke’s Boise Medical Center including Idaho’s only Children’s Hospital (420 bed regional medical center), St. Luke’s Rehabilitation Hospital, and two critical access hospitals in Elmore
and McCall. David also had matrix accountability for post-acute and ambulatory clinic operations within the service area and Air St. Luke’s operations (fixed wing, rotor and ground).
Additional positions at St. Luke’s Health System included the Boise Hospital Administrator where he provided executive leadership for St. Luke’s Boise Medical Center and the Children’s Hospital. David also served as the Vice President of Operations with regional and health system accountability for Emergency Departments, ancillary services, support services, Air St. Luke’s, and patient access services.
Prior to joining St. Luke’s, David served as Vice President of Operations at West Valley Medical Center in Caldwell, Idaho. Before a career in the healthcare field, David held the positions of Project Manager with a Boise based construction and development company, Controller with a manufacturing company, and leader at First Security Bank.
An active member of the community, David serves as a board member of the Idaho Hospital Association and various local boards. David holds a Bachelor of Science from Boise State University and a Master of Business Administration from Northwest Nazarene University. He is also a Fellow with the American College of Healthcare Executives.
